Marni border collie rescue dog Singapore

Why I became a kinesiologist

I didn't find kinesiology. It found me — through my rescue dog, Marni.

She had chronic diarrhoea, weak legs, and was losing weight despite everything we tried. Multiple vets. Diet changes. Nothing worked. After many nights lost in deep research, I stumbled across something I had never heard of — kinesiology. Something about it made me stop scrolling. I booked a session for Marni — and it worked.

My gut told me instantly — I have to learn this. I extended a trip to Cape Town, enrolled at the Specialised Kinesiology College of South Africa, and went to learn animal kinesiology. Just for Marni.

Cape Town had other plans. My mentor did full balances on me. I had lived with chronic upper back pain and legs that would freeze and spasm for years. The difference after my sessions was undeniable. The upper back pain that had followed me for years — gone. My legs stopped seizing. I found myself walking further than I had in a long time, without a second thought.

I went to Cape Town for my dog. I came back to Singapore with the skills — and the calling — to help both animals and people.

The Ubuntu Philosophy

Ubuntu — I am because we are

Ubuntu is a philosophy rooted in the Nguni Bantu languages of Southern Africa — most notably Zulu and Xhosa — a person is a person through other people. Or, as it is sometimes translated: I am because we are.

At Ubuntu Kinergy, we take this further. We believe all sentient beings are connected — human, animal, plant, and the living world around us. We are not isolated units moving through life independently. We are part of an intricate, breathing web of energy and relationships. What affects one may affect all. This is why we are able to work with both humans and animals.

This is why we look at the whole — not just the symptom, not just the individual, but the connections between them. Because healing rarely happens in isolation. And the most profound shifts often happen when we recognise how deeply we are woven together.

We are not separate. We never were.

What I Believe

01 — Symptoms are not the enemy.

We begin by listening — to your history, your concerns, and what your body has been trying to communicate. Nothing is too small or too old to be relevant.

02 — The body holds everything.

Every experience, every emotion, every unprocessed stress lives somewhere in the physical body. Kinesiology gives us a way to access and release it.

03 — Healing is not linear.

It requires patience, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to look at what you are carrying — and when you are ready, to let it go. The body knows. It is always waiting for that moment of permission.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you contact me.

You don't need the right words, a clear diagnosis, or certainty that this will work.

All you need is a quiet sense that something needs attention — and a willingness to listen to it.

That's enough. That's where we start. I look forward to hearing from you. — Pearly
