General Kinesiology
-
Kinesiology is a holistic health modality that uses gentle muscle testing to communicate with the body's nervous system. It identifies where stress, imbalance or blockage exists — physically, emotionally, mentally or energetically — and uses a range of techniques to help the body return to balance.
It began in the 1960s at the intersection of chiropractic and Chinese medicine, and has since evolved into one of the most comprehensive complementary health frameworks in the world.
-
Kinesiology draws from several evidence-based disciplines — including neurology, anatomy, Chinese medicine, and nutrition. The muscle testing technique is rooted in applied kinesiology, which has been studied and developed by medical and chiropractic practitioners since the 1960s.
Like many holistic modalities, not every aspect of kinesiology has been through large-scale clinical trials. What we do know is that the body holds stress in measurable, observable ways — and that addressing root causes rather than symptoms produces lasting results that many clients have not found elsewhere.
-
No — though kinesiology shares some origins with chiropractic, it is a distinct modality. Physiotherapy and chiropractic primarily work with the physical structure of the body. Kinesiology works across all dimensions — physical, emotional, mental and energetic — using muscle testing to identify the root cause of what the body is holding, then applying a wide range of corrections to restore balance.
Think of it as complementary to, rather than competitive with, other modalities.
-
No. Kinesiology is not affiliated with any religion or spiritual belief system. It is a holistic health modality that works with the body's nervous system and natural intelligence.
That said, some people find the experience deeply meaningful — because when the body begins to release what it has been holding, it can feel profound. But this is a natural part of healing, not a spiritual requirement.
You do not need any particular belief system to benefit from kinesiology. You simply need to show up.

ICPKP stands for the International College of Professional Kinesiopractic® — one of the most rigorous kinesiology training bodies in the world. Its curriculum was developed by a medical doctor and requires multi-level coursework, case studies, and both formative and summative assessments.
Pearly trained at the Specialised Kinesiology College of South Africa — an ICPKP-accredited institution — covering both human and animal kinesiology. This means you are working with someone who has completed serious, internationally recognised training — not a short course introduction.
-
Reiki and other energy healing modalities work primarily with the body's energy field through the practitioner's intention and touch. They are valuable in their own right.
Kinesiology is more diagnostic in its approach. It uses muscle testing as a specific tool to identify exactly where imbalance exists and what the body needs to correct it. Sessions are active, structured and tailored — not passive. Think of it as a conversation with your body, rather than a transmission of energy to it.
-
Absolutely — and this is encouraged. Kinesiology is a complementary modality, meaning it works alongside conventional medical care, not instead of it. Many clients come to kinesiology while continuing to see their doctor, specialist, therapist or other practitioners.
We never advise stopping or changing prescribed medication or treatment — any changes to medication should always be discussed with and directed by your doctor.
Our role is to support the body's natural healing process. What unfolds from there is your journey.
-
Every session begins with a conversation — your history, your current concerns, and what your body has been trying to communicate. Nothing is too small or too old to be relevant.
From there, gentle muscle testing is used to identify where stress or imbalance exists. Once identified, corrections are applied — these may include acupressure, emotional release techniques, flower essences, nutritional insights, or brain integration work. Every session is different because every body is different.
You leave with simple practical guidance to support your healing between sessions.
-
This varies from person to person and depends on what you are working with. Some people notice significant shifts within a few sessions. Deeper patterns that have been held for years may take longer to unwind.
What we don't do is lock you into a programme. We work session by session, reassess as we go, and let your body guide the pace. You will always know where we are and what we are working towards.
-
This is one of the most common things we hear — and often where kinesiology does some of its most meaningful work.
When conventional approaches focus on the symptom and the symptom keeps returning, it's often because the root hasn't been found. Kinesiology doesn't assume it already knows the answer. It asks the body directly. That's a fundamentally different starting point — and it opens doors that other approaches may not reach.
We make no guarantees. But if you're stuck and willing to look deeper, this is a good place to start.

Everyone responds differently. Some people feel immediate lightness, clarity or calm. Others feel tired as the body begins to process and integrate the work. Some notice shifts gradually over the days following a session.
Occasionally people experience a temporary intensification of symptoms — this is a normal part of the healing process and usually passes within 24 to 48 hours.
Drink plenty of water after your session and be gentle with yourself. Give your body space to do what it needs to do.
-
Yes — kinesiology is gentle, non-invasive and very well suited to children. Children often respond quickly and effectively because they haven't spent decades suppressing what they feel.
Sessions for children are adapted to be age appropriate and are always conducted with a parent or guardian present. Please reach out to discuss your child's specific needs before booking.
-
Yes — chronic conditions are often where kinesiology is most valuable, precisely because they have typically not responded fully to conventional treatment.
Chronic conditions usually have layers — physical, emotional and energetic — that have built up over time. Kinesiology works through those layers systematically, addressing root causes rather than managing surface symptoms. Progress may be gradual but it tends to be lasting.
-
Completely okay — and actually very common.
Many clients come in with a vague sense that something is off but no clear diagnosis or label for it. You don't need one. The body knows what it's holding even when we don't have words for it.
That's exactly what muscle testing is for — to ask the body directly. You just need to show up. We'll find the rest together.
Human kinesiology
-
Animal kinesiology works on the same principles as human kinesiology — identifying and addressing stress, imbalance and blockage across physical, emotional and energetic dimensions.
Because animals cannot communicate verbally, we use a human surrogate — typically the animal's guardian — to conduct the muscle testing. Through the surrogate, we access the animal's body intelligence and identify what needs to be addressed.
Corrections are then applied through flower essences, nutritional suggestions and environmental guidance.
-
Animal kinesiology sessions are conducted through a human surrogate — usually you, the guardian. This means your animal does not need to be physically present in the session.
The surrogate acts as an energetic proxy, allowing us to access your animal's body intelligence through muscle testing. This works whether your animal is in the next room or on the other side of the world. Remote sessions are equally effective.
-
We recommend leaving your animal at home. Bringing them into an unfamiliar environment could add unnecessary stress on top of what they are already carrying.
The good news is your animal doesn't need to be present at all. Sessions are conducted through a human surrogate — we do all the work with you, on behalf of your animal.
Aggression usually has a root in fear, past trauma or stored stress. Kinesiology helps us find and address what is underneath — gently and without any force or restraint.
-
Kinesiology can be a wonderful support for post-surgery recovery — helping the body process the stress of the procedure and support the emotional experience of being unwell.
There is no strict waiting period, but we recommend allowing your pet some initial recovery time before starting. Please reach out and share the details — we will advise the best time to begin based on your animal's specific situation.
-
Yes — kinesiology works alongside veterinary treatment and medication, not instead of it. We never advise stopping or changing prescribed medication.
Kinesiology supports the body's natural healing process, which can complement what the medication is doing.
-
Absolutely. Kinesiology is gentle, non-invasive and particularly well-suited to older animals who may not tolerate more physical forms of treatment.
For senior animals, kinesiology can support comfort, mobility, emotional well-being, and quality of life. It is also a deeply supportive tool during end-of-life care — helping both the animal and the guardian navigate that transition with more ease and peace.
-
Every animal is different. Some respond quickly, others carry deeper layers that take more time to unwind — and that's completely okay. We work session by session and reassess as we go.
There is no fixed programme or assumption about how long the journey will take. Your observations between sessions are invaluable — you know your animal best, and that insight guides the work.
-
Yes — always. Kinesiology is a complementary modality and works best alongside, not instead of, your vet's care.
We strongly encourage all animal clients to maintain their regular veterinary relationship. Kinesiology addresses what conventional veterinary treatment may not reach — the emotional and root-cause dimensions of your animal's health. Together, they offer your animal the most comprehensive support possible.
Animal Kinesiology
-
Yes — for both humans and animals. Remote sessions are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet and are equally effective as in-person sessions.
If you are based outside Singapore or simply prefer the convenience of healing from home, remote sessions are a great option.
-
Ubuntu Kinergy is based in Singapore and operates as a home-based practice. In-person sessions are conducted at our space in Singapore.
We are also able to come to you — whether at your home or a mutually agreed location. A transportation fee will apply for travel. Please reach out to discuss the details.
-
Simply reach out via WhatsApp, the contact form on this website, or email. We'll have a brief conversation about what you're working with, confirm the session format and timing, and get you scheduled.
There is no complicated booking system — just a straightforward human conversation to get started.
-
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. We understand that life happens — and we will always do our best to accommodate changes where possible.
Late cancellations affect our ability to offer that slot to others who may need it, so your consideration is genuinely appreciated.
-
No — and that's a conscious decision. Packages are a common way to increase revenue in wellness businesses. But they're not how I want to work. When someone buys a package, there's an unspoken pressure to use it — whether or not the timing is right for their healing.
My focus is simple — to help you get better. Some people need two sessions. Some need six. Some come back months later when life brings something new. I'd rather we work at the pace your body needs, not the pace a package dictates.
The only commitment I ask for is an honest one — to yourself. A genuine willingness to show up, stay curious, and do the work. That kind of commitment cannot be bought in a bundle.
We work session by session. When you're ready for the next step, I'll be here.
-
Because kinesiology is still unfamiliar to many people, we believe the best way to understand it is to experience it firsthand.
The introductory session is priced to make that first step as accessible as possible. It gives you a genuine experience of the work at a lower risk — so you can decide for yourself whether it's right for you.
There is no catch and no pressure to continue. If it resonates, we go from there. If it doesn't, that's okay too.
-
Please reach out directly via WhatsApp or call us. For truly urgent situations, a phone call is always the fastest way to reach us.
Send a message or call describing your situation and we will respond as quickly as possible to advise and slot you into the closest available appointment.
Depending on the nature of your concern — particularly for acute physical or medical issues — we may advise you to see a doctor or specialist first. Your safety and well-being always come first. Kinesiology works best alongside, not instead of, urgent medical care.
-
Sometimes a session may reveal that your body would benefit from nutritional support or flower essences. If so, we will advise you on what to look for.
However, we do not sell any products. There is no conflict of interest in our recommendations. You are free to source what you need from your trusted health shop, pharmacy or online retailer.
Our only interest is your well-being, not your purchase.
Practical & Logistical
There are no silly questions when it comes to you or your animal's well-being. Reach out via WhatsApp or the contact form, and we'll answer honestly — no obligation, no pressure.
